I'm no Emeril Lagasse but I can cook.
BAAAAMMMM!

I think you're right about the Cricket burgers. Thing is the Bible actually talks about eating bugs and separates the clean from the unclean.

Lev 11:20-23.

And all the talk about bugs having parasites is true but so do some meats. The thing is to cook them thoroughly.

I'm not advocating eating bugs but if it comes down to it...

So I guess they aren't unclean BUT, it shouldn't come to that. They are trying to warm people up to the idea but there is plenty to eat that grows in the ground. Remember? I give all the vegetation to you for food. except poison ivy I'm sure. Unless I've been cooking it wrong all this time.
Crickets just don't look like food to me when I see beans and taters. Green beans and okra. Aloo Saag and bread. Just in India alone they have hundreds of dishes that don't involve meat but that isn't the objective.
The goal is to people to eat things they would rather not. Once it starts, where does it stop?
Soon you are going to hear that growing vegetables is harmful to the planet. I think that is the line where I will go no further.

Me too, I don't own a microwave either. Get an air fryer of at least 5 Liters of capacity. It won't help with the pizza but it will reheat food almost as quick as a microwave. I bought mine a couple, three years ago and I use it way more than my oven. I roast garlic in it for the bread I make. Could you imagine the waste if I used the oven to roast a head of garlic? The air fryer needs no preheat and does it in about 8 minutes. Unlike a microwave the garlic is actually roasted...and delicious.

Don't let the term "air fryer" fool you, it's just a glorified, small convection oven. Also, this wouldn't work very well if you had a family. For a single person or a couple an air fryer is a great alternative to a microwave.
Nah....microwaves work just fine. Although I do appreciate what you are saying regarding the air fryer, heating up a meal in 1 minute vs 5-8 minutes is a better alternative. You say it's not as healthy, but to which way are you referring?

I didn't mention if one was healthy or not. I prefer the air fryer but nothing against a microwave. The one advantage to an air fryer is you can roast garlic, hard boil eggs, etc. You can't do that in a microwave AFAIK.
