OK, so here's what I think is the whole point. The reason Jehovah has allowed this for so long, is because mankind has not ultimately failed in their ruler-ship until it climaxes with the GT. The GT will usher in this sifting period. Christ brothers will give the credit to Jehovah for putting a stop to the GT, but the 8th King will take credit for it. During the 3 1/2 years man will be compelled to "take the mark", and the only thing preventing it, "even the chosen will be deceived if possible", will be your understanding and faith it what has just happened. It will be the last thing that reveals your true heart condition, before Jehovah destroys mankind's wicked governments, and those who have sided with them, like all the purple hair LGBTQ freaks, and their supporters, etc.
With this complete failure, also comes WTs org complete failure, ("it does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step" includes the debacle that WT has become), since they, like the nation of Israel, wanted a King, and rejected Jehovah as their King, likewise WT has done the same thing, by doing what Paul was describing in 2 Thess chapter 2...they have installed themselves as "Kings" and Paul described that as well, "have you begun reigning without us?" Even if they are actually anointed ones, they are not sealed and like Judas they have betrayed Jesus and Jehovah in various ways...and we all know what those ways entail.
The 8th King's rule will be worse, by far for those resisting the 8th King than the wholesale in-discriminant slaughter that the GT will unleash. The GT will be a flash point and those killed by it, it seems to me, will be getting off easy. It's my belief that the GT just set's the stage for the final show down, but the GT will be "check" and Armageddon is "check mate" but still the 8th King's rule will expose what is in a person's heart, and it will be undeniable. In fact it will be then that the fulfillment of scripture that states, Jehovah will "not allow us to be tested beyond what we can endure."
Everything that we have been taught makes sense now, when we look at it from this perspective.
The point of the "short period of time" when Satan is hurled down, is to force people to take a side. They will only be deceived by their own hearts. Just like Eve, her desire to be like God is what drew out her sin. She was willingly deceived, because what Satan said appealed to her. Her sin was not that she ate of the fruit, it was what motivated her to eat, and it's very clear when you analyze the way Satan was able to manipulate her to sin. Eating the fruit of the tree was symbolic of the actual sin. It was the manifestation of her sin which was her desire to be like God. In fact Eve was the first "Satanist." And all those who perish at Armageddon will like wise be "Satanists."
Contrast that with people who believe in the Trinity and similar lies. Their belief in that deception in and of itself is not at all the same kind of thing. That is to say, their reasons for believing that lie, are not even in the same ball park as to why Eve was deceived. I think you can likewise make the very same argument for JW's who are similarly deceived by the GB and WT. What rises to a level of sin, would be based on the reason why a person is deceived, and whether when given proof that they have been deceived if they accept such correction. Some even now in the world today, wouldn't want to live under God's rulership, and they will be given a chance to show their unwavering support for Satan during the 8th Kings rule!
