Safeguard your heart midweek meeting

In the 10 minute part this week, another surely "encouraging" video based off the 2019 January Watchtower, the video opens with the experience of Brent and Lauren from South Africa. They had "good friends" who left Jehovah; good friends in the context that they drove together (at least once) to isolated territory, and they all visited a sick brother in the hospital. So when they say that their "good friends" left Jehovah, I would surmise that they left "Jehovah's organization" first, as mere humans cannot read hearts. Then Brent makes a peculiar statement... "and in the interim they became bad association for us"

Two thoughts; the not-so-subtle brainwashing that equates Jehovah being equal to his organization; and the other being whatever this "interim" spoken of is?

How do people not see this stuff. For more fun, I will leave the analysis of Umjay from Namibia and Happy from Cameroon for others. Uggh

I guess they will see it in time maybe. I did not see things right away but I am not the sharpest in some areas ☺ I knew something was off especially 1914. It irritated me so much in field service when the brs/sis started harping on that.

I also listened in to midweek meeting but when they started with the can you have the pioneering spirit and do more in our LOCAL
NEEDS I clicked off.

That workbook used in the meetings along with some videos is more than I can handle at times. Sometimes I just lower the volume on some comments 😒 🤮

Hopefully more will wake up soon. 👍

Have fun with the suggested analysis 😒

@Eventhorizon your observation is so very correct and more of the same old mundane script I’ve heard for the last 39 years.
How can they listen to these same old experiences that are never really clear and specific? I know it’s because they know that most will assume the worst.

I‘ve only been out for going on 2 years but the script never changes. I came to the conclusion in recent months that those meetings are designed for the purpose of brainwashing. It seems strange that if you’re DF ( I’m not DF) they say your repentance is proven by going to meetings! How absurd is that? Some only go back so they can talk to their families again.
Where’s their love for Jehovah?

Sorry for the rant.. but those idolizing the WT/GB need to ‘safeguard their hearts’ by staying away from the organization.

Psalm 146:3 says:
“Do not put your trust in princes Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation.“

Instead, we do as James 4:8 says
“Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you indecisive ones.”

I got a late text last night from a friend in my old congregation. Hadn't heard from her in a long while and I thought it was odd she texted me so late (time difference) but then I realized it must have been right after Mid-Week meeting where they played this video. I thought it was very sweet that she reached out right after seeing it even though the video seemed to promote the opposite :)

What really got me about it was that it was simply stated "they left Jehovah"... and does that mean, DF, DA, or faded?(let the reader use discernment). And the "interim" spoken of where they became bad association, What 🤬 "interim" are they talking about?
Not to mention they failed to establish any credibility concerning being "good friends". Sounds like another case of the borg really stretching a minimally applicable experience into more than it is.

Just thinking though, could the couple have been Tony Morris & his wife?🤨

BTW the hawks on that other forum have spotted that they have scrubbed the Morris Morning Worships off the website, about 11-12 of them

What got me was they didn't use the bible as their reference they used a watchtower magazine in all 3 scenarios.

Which is sad indeed. More and more the WT and other publications are put above Jehovah's word in talks etc.

The WT is used a great deal in the talks I have heard in my kh. Especially when referencing an experience or some other issue and they will quote that as if it were Jehovah's sacred word. 😔

Right! That's exactly what's happening now.

There are some savvy people that post on Reddit that are apparently using bots to monitor the borg site and spotted the deletion of the morning worship videos off jdubTV. They also spotted the ongoing modifications in the Cook annual meeting video, which initially was added to the annual meeting some time later, and now recently has an added graphic obscuring Cook while he talks about homosexuality (if you can stay awake while he talks)

I think the best evidence this is not Jehovah's Organization and in fact a cult, is the fact they use "left Jehovah" as synonymous with "left Watchtower" AKA "no longer think every word breathed out from the GB is actually coming from Jehovah", which is what they really mean. The Jews could not "leave off being a Jew". Just accuse the GB or WT of going beyond what is written" and it's a scene right out of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."

ah, do you know what they say? When it isn't published in the Watchtower, it just isn't true. Simple as that, no need for a bible.... ;)

Yes, a sister I am close to says the friends won't believe anything til they read it in the wt and then whatever counsel they give everyone will go overboard.

Of coarse now the borg are floating the possibilities of doctored/counterfeit magazines🙄

They do a well enough job of being their own worst enemy-
Talking about doctored mags one thing makes me really uncomfortable is the ever enlarging sign on top of Jesus torture stake whenever we see it now. Looks just like a cross! Or is this me being paranoid?

I thought the same thing Sealy!

You can also use the site Wayback machine. It keeps record of all previous existence on the internet. The incident I remember being used was when German woman got assaulted by immigrants few years ago and police retracted the press release that it was them(the immigrants) assaulting women. Later was changed to saying there were some incidents or something of that nature.

Very interesting.
