Sunday, March 24 - Until the Kingdom of God comes

I am so happy that some of you guys went to the memorial as I know it could be quite challenging for some, what's stop me from going to the Kingdom Hall Memorial was the fact that it's 200 miles away not to mention last time I was there some of the brothers had insinuated that I was an apostate nonetheless I celebrated at home in private in deep study/meditation .

I have never, ever, felt comfortable partaking, even before I was DFed. It is just something I feel compelled to do because it is what Jesus wants.

It is a bit ironic that I used to be asked to give the Memorial talk frequently. I remember I was once even invited to give the Memorial talk at another congregation as a guest speaker. But since I started partaking I sit in the back row and listen and then split :cautious:

Wow I see.

I was debating on going last night but since I've been sick with a cold (got my whole family ill unfortunately though it could've been my uncle so who knows...) for about a week. Fortunately I was able to hook up on Zoom.

I never let a Passover go by without watching this pictorial and sharing it with others, it makes me feel tremendously happy and sad at the same time.

John17:17

17 Jesus spoke these things, and, raising his eyes to heaven,+ he said: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your son, that your son may glorify you,+ 2 according as you have given him authority over all flesh,+ that, as regards the whole [number] whom you have given him,+ he may give them everlasting life.+ 3 This means everlasting life,+ their taking in knowledge+ of you,* the only true God,+ and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.+ 4 I have glorified+ you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do.+ 5 So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.+
Great Pictorial, Kevin, and thanks for sharing.
As Paul directed, by drinking the cup, anointed Christians keep proclaiming the death of the Lord until he comes.
Maybe you should send this pictorial out to all the congregations next year so the speaker can have it played in the background as the bread and wine is passed. I know we would enjoy it. Just saying!!!:sneaky:

I did the same Kevin . I used to go when my mother was alive , but since she died , I do much the same as you . I have so many memories of the kingdom hall that are not nice , that I feel much better being at home .

All we will ever really need is Jehovah.

Psalm18:

18 I shall have affection for you,* O Jehovah my strength.+ 2 Jehovah is my crag and my stronghold and the Provider of escape for me.+My God* is my rock. I shall take refuge in him,*+My shield and my horn of salvation, my secure height.+ 3 On the One to be praised, Jehovah, I shall call,Read more> https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/bi12/books/psalms/18/

I didn’t attend the Memorial in person as I did last year. So I preferred this year to read the scriptural accounts during the week about Jesus and the events that led up to that night. Meditating on Jesus’s sacrifice and what it means is very important.
I chose a Memorial talk off of YouTube that was given at a congregation. The speaker started off fine…good speaker as well, until he got to the middle of the talk.

Here‘s a part of the transcript to read for yourself and you will understand what I mean:

He started off badly too. Adam just didn't make a mistake, he deliberately disobeyed Jehovah.

I find the mention of the ransom that was Jesus , and a vaccine , in the same sentence , very disturbing . Jesus` ransom is what is used , to save mankind from death . A vaccine , and in particular , the vaccine that the Watchtower has pushed and stated is a gift from Jehovah , so they stay in the land of the living , is killing and injuring tens of thousands .
