How true, Barnaby. The other item in my mind was the lack of insight into its meaning. Sure, we all know of the significance in the watchtower perfunctory manner - but to the degree of the anointed who actually experience these meanings but who were never invited for comment at any time, never able to explain or demonstrate their sense of inclusion and it’s meaning, silenced as “just ordinary people with a different hope” (as explained to us congregants), leaving the congregation without the benefit of their teaching, insight, hope and experience - and that was back in the 1970s.
We have come to understand more about the anointed and their "calling" in the last six months than we learn in all the decades we spent in the organization. It has truly been an awakening as to the meaning and significance of their anointing. It's almost mind-boggling and we can be sure that we grasp only a fraction of what the experience really entails.
