Usually Jehovah allows wicked people to do whatever they want in order to show before His creation that He's completely justified to act against them. He allows wickedness to become extreme or really really bad in order that no one can say that He was unfair when He brings punishment. Sometimes He allows that people's heart continues to be wicked or really evil or bad getting worse and worse in order to show before all His creation what they do and the point where they can reach, so He can be justified (as I already said) and act against them when He decides to do so. He shows patience like that because He waits, showing mercy too. He shows respect towards His creation because He does not interfere with their free will and justice because He does not act until He has all the evidence to destroy and punish the wicked ones. He usually allows evil to become extreme and then He says it's enough and releases His anger in a horrible way. It's better when He reprehends here and there or punishes in a more merciful way because when He decides to act in a decisive way with all His held anger and indignation, it's terrible. It's not nice at all.
I think that is kind of similar to a person that is usually cheerful. You don't want to see them mad... Haha 😂😂😬😬😬😅😱😖
