Would you like to be anointed?

There is nothing wrong with the question! Some brothers or sisters just honestly would like to be close to Jehovah God, their heavenly Father and to Jesus Christ! But we need to remember, that it is Jehovah God that makes the choosing and inviting. But he is not going to force us to accept the invitation, because he respects out free will! But he might send us an “invitation” (Matthew 28:19), That verse is saying in other words: “Go, make anointed for me…”. How does he do it? First through the anointed brothers or sisters and after with his spirit. For example, Romans 8:14: “For all who are led by God’s spirit are indeed God’s sons.” So, if you enjoy daily the prayers and considering the scriptures, witnessing and having a spiritual conversation, and all kinds of theocratic activities, and being happy and his spirit helps you to overcome all difficulties and you retain the happiness and tranquility and continue in that course daily…However, you must remember the part in the model prayer: “Let your will be done”! In other words, Jehovah knows what is best for all of us! Some have developed very close relationships with their marriage mate, with the family members and friends and like to have them forever! For others, it is up to them to accept the “invitation” from Jehovah, if they receive one. How do they do it? By partaking at the Memorial! And even after that when they examine themselves to see if they retain that happy spirit, love, and calmness of relationship with Jehovah continually, it will be an indication that Jehovah is happy with our accepting his invitation…
Well this topic made me laugh, my answer would be avoid all things anointed unless you are. LOL

...Jehovah is not going to impose on us anything that is classified as undeserved kindness...
Jehovah INVITES people to become anointed. I guess you could say No, although I don't know anyone who's done that. I wonder if Jehovah would take No for an answer and allow someone to remain one of the other sheep?

Jehovah is the one who decides someone is sealed. He does this whenever he knows a person is approved.

Does being anointed make you to an authority on Bible teaching and interpretation of prophecy?
Its seems to be a common believe among JWs. 🤔

I wonder if those who got baptized as JW did it under a coercion or willingly...?

Well, brother Robert is anointed and he understands prophecy...:) And with his help you are able to understand it also...:)

Here's the thing how much knowledge can a human truly acquire? Is a person's ability to attain knowledge what Jehovah uses to base his choosing one of the 144,000? I don't believe so. Jehovah chooses a person who he is drawn to and who will best serve him and mankind in their future position. Their perfect condition in heaven will be where their real knowledge will be acquired.

Makes sense. The Mormons that I have known were all good decent human beings.
Did you see the Jodi Arias trial? That was the type of “Mormon” that I have encountered in the world. Sorry, just saying that Revelation 18:2 always hits home to me because some of the biggest frauds and crooks are religious from a worldly view.

And out of a number of cases, we can consider apostle Paul. According to Galatians 1:15, he was chosen at the time of his conception but lived as a pharisee almost half of his life...besides himself being type of anointed at the second coming of Jesus Christ...

If you live for eternity in heaven, or live for eternity in the physical universe, does it really matter if you are anointed? It comes down to faith in Jehovahs perfect wisdom. If I was chosen as an anointed it would be because Jehovahs perfect wisdom saw that, and if I live forever in the physical universe its also due to perfect wisdom, mercy, and underserved kindness that I get to live forever. Either way it's a win. To want to be more than what Jehovah has purposed for us to be, is the sin within us that creates that desire. We know what happened when Eve wanted to be more, and what happened to the Angels who wanted more. Isn't the lesson clear enough...?

I have a passion for the earth that borders on obsession and I have experienced very little of it. Nevertheless, I would be honored to serve Jehovah in any capacity that he saw fit even though I cannot wrap my mind around the spirit world or even what it means. It’s a total blank to me. So, I am definitely not anointed, but that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t serve in any capacity. I definitely don’t see the earthly hope as 2nd place, its just where I hope to belong. As I tell people, Jehovah made the earth perfect for humans and he made humans perfect for the earth.

To be honest I'm not sure of either hope. I lean on the side of caution when it comes to these things. Whatever God decides I'll respect.

You write: "I definitely don’t see the earthly hope as 2nd place..." You are right! But sometime we may ask the wrong (or not entirely correct) questions...finally it is not important who will be among 144 000, but that 144 000 humans have been selected by Jehovah God to be with Jesus as Jehovah's heavenly administration...use imagination, imagination, imagination...:)

After Armageddon people will not think about it anymore...:) But now we are living in unique times, never to be repeated in all eternity...:)

Look at it another way: would you like to live in times when Jesus was on Earth? That time is gone, but today's generation is living in time when the number of Jesus' brothers is to be soon finalized...and those whose hope is to live forever on Earth have unique opportunity...!
