This is going to be a little bit long, but will explain a lot and will give your like a summarized insight of what I think and have learnt from Robert of what will happen in the future.I don’t believe it would be 3.5 years.Someone suggested that it would be that long and I was only highlighting how insane that would be.
I never said that the Great tribulation would last 3 and half years... That's what many evangelicals believe actually. I said ALL the events that we know are going to happen could happen during a 7 years period, starting with WW3 and all the other things. It made me feel angry and offended that you used sarcasm. It makes me feel angry when people do that, especially to mock. I know you have done that before in other posts I think and that makes me feel angrier because that's not the way people here should behave. But let me explain you what do I think this way. We know everything starts will WW3. Then, the famine, pestilences, hyperinflation, etc... All that might take at least some months or weeks. But I don't think it's likely that all that might take weeks. It's too little time for all that. That will take at least some months. That will lead to the great tribulation that will shake the foundations of this world as Revelation 6 shows, starting with the fall of the United States and London with their allies. We also know that that will lead to the fall of all the governments of the world, to anarchy. So, for some time, the world will have no governments or political authorities and it seems that no economic system to a certain level. That's the great tribulation at its climax. The foundations of this world will be shaken along with the heavens like Jesus said. So, maybe we will see the governments in a very desperate situation like never before and at the same time people running towards them and the institutions of this world until all of them are destroyed or collapse or something like that. But all of the sudden, before everything is lost, the great tribulation is cut short. Jehovah intervenes and does not allow humanity to be erased from the face of the earth. By that time, 2 billion souls will have died. People will be truly frightened because society will not exist. The civilization that we have known for centuries will have come to and end. It will be a horrible world. But again, and this time on the other side, Satan will appear (using his many many false prophets) as the savior of the world, of mankind. He might well accuse Jehovah of wanting to destroy the world and will offer mankind an alternative. He will use great wonders and portents and miracles to convince mankind and make it be on his side this time. He will no longer be hidden, but will show himself as he wants to be seen. He might even use extraterrestrial appearances or something similar, something impressive. Mankind is dragged into that, and the beast that was "dead" or fatally wounded is revived as the eighth king. All the power is given to it and humanity follows it with wonder saying "who is like the beast and who can battle it?". They will worship it because it will appear as the savior of the world's end, something that prevented that. And in that moment is when the 3 and half years start officially. So, all the previous events are outside of that and will take some time.
On the other side, God's people will be divided. The war, famine, pestilences, and great tribulation itself will wake them up. Many will be stumbled. Many will betray one another, like the Bible shows. All those events will show what's in everyone's heart. The faithful ones will obviously attach themselves to Jehovah and will feel lost (the sheep will be scattered) seeing everything that's going on around them and will beg Jehovah for mercy, forgiveness and guidance like the Bible also shows many times. After that, and right before the reign of the beast, but after the cut short of the tribulation, the chosen ones will be sealed. Jesus will appear to them and give them His approval. The great crowd will also be gathered. They will be then one people and will work together to give the world a final and strong witness. The holy spirit will be poured upon them and that will make all of them unstoppable and fearless. The chosen ones will act like lions, as the Bible says. The great crowd will also act in a very brave way. The holy spirit will be poured upon them too as Joel 2 shows.
Meanwhile, those who continue to attach to falsehood and will show what's in their hearts betraying their brothers and sisters in the middle of all that chaos will know that they have been rejected and will look for guidance in the wrong sources as a desperate way (maybe) to convince themselves that they are not doomed or as a revenge. By that time (if not before), the man of lawlessness will have completely come out to the fore and will be visible for everyone. Satan's seed will show itself. By that time, the faithful ones will have listened to Jesus' order of fleeing from the organization to the symbolic mountains of the Kingdom. This will surely be condemned by the man of lawlessness and they will surely or at least probably accuse those who had fled of apostates as they do in some way now. (It seems that some things will never change). And will probably, if not sure, instigate the brothers to report to the authorities these brothers (as they will not belong to the organization, they will not care about giving them the worst treatment possible). Besides, perhaps dominated by the fear of being destroyed by the beast, they will collaborate with them as the Bible shows and they have done already in some way. They will act maybe in a subtle, but more open way, that for the eyes of the chosen ones and the Great crowd will surely be seen as an evil thing.
So, there will be an open war between the rejected and condemned and the faithful ones. Lead on one side by the beast and the man of lawlessness, and on the other side by the chosen ones who will have been sealed. Nevertheless, the persecution will start before the beast starts its reign.
