Ditto on that!!! I don't idolize Robert one bit but I do appreciate his work and his efforts in speaking truth based on scriptures. I pray on everything i also research EVERYTHING and so far nothing and noone who I have listened to or read up on have had any indication they were even remotely speaking truth.
These ones like Joe, Gitane etc come on this thread disrespecting him, calling him a con man, a deceiver ridiculing his work etc then have the audacity to call him out for defending himself and calling them out on their BS.... like what??! Am I in the twilight zone 🤯
He had way more patience and tolerance then I would have had..like just get lost already...they need to go and make their own forum instead on jumping on here and being straight up disrespectful.

I respect him as well. His book made me think of things that wouldn't of happened without his joint or ligament. If you think im out to get him your sadly mistaken . However this topic garnished a huge response, right? IT'S STILL ON TOP RIGHT?

I was wondering if it was okay you could do a thread on Ray Franz. I'm not too familiar with his works but I do know many ex-JW's champion him, including many of those who became atheist. I've heard from @The God Pill that Fred Franz was suspicious in his activity so I wouldn't really know how weird things were back then (I'm a millennial).

All I know about Franz is his own story and a few comments I've read years back. What I do know from personal experience is that you don't talk about fight club in the kingdom hall. You don't even mention his name or you get that look and people turn and walk away in mid-sentence on you. I felt that to be suspicious early on but I kept it to myself because I perceived the fear brothers and sisters had even mentioning his name. Sort of like E.F. Hutton commercials. You mention that name and you can hear an owl fart twenty miles away.
Funny thing when you're new, you're allowed to ask questions and they "we commend you for that" sort of thing. Then there is a crossover point where that comes to a screeching halt Jack.

What we do does matter. Maybe it's time to build bigger storehouses.

Jehovah definitely knows you better but I don’t know what he thinks of you except that you’re turning this conversation in the wrong direction. Jehovah wants us to get along not have words over such trivial matters.

This might have been a good time to NOT comment KevinB. Purposely overlooking and missing an opportunity to be insulting is not a bad thing from time to time, even if you feel you have been wronged somehow. I hope the best for you bro but maybe you should take your snark attacks elsewhere.
 
People are getting feisty lately. Perhaps the end is closer than we think. People need to have thicker skin if they plan to make it through the trib. Way thicker. Good to know who your friends are too. In the congregation I never had any doubt that any one of the brothers could sell me out at the drop of a hat. Could go the other way too. Back in Roman times, for a while Christians had to be extremely discreet. If they weren't it could cost them their lives.
We will see the return of that threat soon enough.

Yeah you’re right @BagdadBill. I was thinking the same thing although I hope that I wasn’t one of the “feisty” ones you were referring to. I liked your idea last week about making a thread on Recipes for this very reason.
But yeah, people do need to have thicker skin.
I‘ve seemed to develop it more and more the last few years. We really need to. It’s a must. Like I’ve said before, I try to be a peacemaker not a peace breaker.

You're wrong there...at least on one level. Jah chose the weak and foolish so that no man could boast in the sight of God. They get to heaven through undeserved kindness, not their own merits. 1 Cor 1:26-29..."so that no one may boast in His presence."

And who went among the world looking for the wheat and the weeds, even to a somewhat limited extent? I know of only one group that's famous for its worldwide preaching. And they did a pretty impressive job of it. Former glory, now tarnished by their continued fall.

When the rubber hits the road Bill, old args like this will be quickly forgotten. Brothers will forget their differences and protect each other. And if they don't? They were never real Brothers to begin with.

I think the things Robert writes not only make sense, they have that "ring of truth" to them, and I feel the same brotherhood from the vast majority on this forum.

How long have you been waiting in the wings to pronounce this judgement? You must have quite the laundry list of evidence then to make this claim. Odd you didn't provide a SHRED of evidence to your claim however. Just him removing people from his "house" as it were since this is his website, Not at all like removing a person's ability to speak to their own family members. People are free to make friends with anyone they want on this forum, and continue that friendship outside of Robert's domain website.

🤣🤣 - I will try: Inspiration can be understood as a revelation from god, (watchtower uses it to imply this) or an Idea stemming from any other source as a sudden revelation of and to understanding!
I’m sorry I’m so long winded. It can be tiresome. I understand that. I predict questions stemming from what I write and answer them at the same time.
