We were told by the Governing Body that it's not a religious exemption and they won't be providing any. They quoted Romans 13 to follow the superior authorities as long as it doesn't break God's word
This is the problem. When you apply for a 'Religious Exemption'.....it doesn't matter WHAT your pastor/preacher/priest/buddha etc says THEIR beliefs are. It is
between the person putting in for the R/E and what THEIR spiritual beliefs are. Unfortunately, I cannot link to the specific video(s) that Peggy Hall put out on this subject because she was and still is being highly censored. When I did a search for one of the many videos she put out on this subject, YT says: "9 unavailable videos are hidden". My memory isn't perfect and thankfully I did not have a w-2 job when this all came down....but I still watched and took notes (mentally) on the information she put out. In other words, when you 'REQUEST your Religious Exemption....
first of all, you are not 'asking permission'....you are STATING that YOU HAVE A RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION.
And by law, your Employer MUST ACCOMMODATE that R/E as long as no 'Hardship' is imposed. So, it doesn't matter what "WATCHTOWER" claims THEIR understanding is.....
what matters is what YOU the requester of the exemption believes. Your Human Resources department doesn't have to agree or even understand your objection or complaint. The requester does not have to PROVE that this is their belief. If it is a SINCERELY held belief....then
YOUR EMPLOYER MUST accommodate you. Under the LAW, even ATHEISTS can apply for a R/E.
So the statement that "
We were told by the Governing Body that it's NOT a religious exemption and they won't be PROVIDING any" does not hold water under the LAW. What matters is what YOUR personal religious belief is. NOT what the 'Governing Body' says it should be. And just because they cited/quoted Romans 13 is definitely NOT the end of the discussion. Also, you do NOT even have to CITE a scripture to your employer......because THEY may not even hold the BIBLE in high regard....so it doesn't matter again whether or not THEY understand or even agree with your Religious Exemption.
Peggy explained it way better than I did and that was 3 yrs ago when those videos first came out, so please forgive me if I didn't explain it as clearly as she did. But I had friends who were still working as employees and I was trying to remember what I heard so that I could help them if the question came up. And as we here all know now, whether or not accepting these '
safe and effective' mRNA shots 'break God's Word' (IN THEIR OPINION) does not matter.
What matters is YOUR CONSCIENCE. MY CONSCIENCE did not allow me to take something that could cause death or severe adverse reactions. PERIOD. And I know most if not all of us here felt the same way and thus we can't believe the 'GB' went along with all this 'Hogwash'.
