Finally Got a Better Job

I am officially out of food service. I work for a cellphone company now. Just got back from training in Boston yesterday. That's where I've been lately. Transitioning into my new job. It's not exactly what I was looking for. But it's a lot closer to my field than I have been in over 5 years. Jehovah has blessed me indeed. It's weird how it happened. One day at my other job I passed by popular cellular store and decided to give them a call. I asked, "Are you guys hiring?"

Dude was like, "Where you at?" Then he closed the store down and came to my other job to talk to me about it. That was about 4 weeks ago. I was basically hired on the spot.

I worked for a cell phone company 20 plus years ago...selling them....or rather selling cell phone plans.

I did it once at Radio Shack back when they were a thing. Maybe 10 years ago. But the business changed a lot. We got a lot more than just phones nowadays. We got phones, tablets, smart watches, laptops, jetpacks, HUM devices for automotive, ear buds, plus hundreds of other accessories.

If you want to earn even more money. I suggest you review the cell phones or whatever gadgets on a YouTube video. It might take a while to get noticed. But if you keep it up with regular video uploads you may have even more opportunities and perks within that field. Sales of cell phones is hard. As many choose to buy online for cheaper than through a retail store with the salesman trying to put them on a higher data plan. I used to work as one.

It has to be a blessing for you. It is a wonder for the American people just to be able to change a job like that. In Britain changing a job is like trying to squeeze blood out of a stone, with even more questions than a watchtower baptism application.

It was easy and difficult at the same time. Getting the job part was easy because not enough people in the area qualify. Either they don't want to work, have a criminal record, or just don't have the disposition for a people oriented job. What made switching difficult is the biweekly pay checks. I was getting paid, albeit very little, every week. So when I moved over I basically had to go a month without a paycheck before my base pay and commission started kicking in. I'm still learning the job too, so I'm not as good at it as I will be down the road. But it's still better than my last job.

Good for you Jahrule. I’m happy for you. We need a bit of happiness in our lives.
