Instead of commenting on the daily text, there is a front-page article on jw dot org that poses the question: Is Truth Important Anymore? The first paragraph states:
"Post-truth" is an apt expression. There is a war being waged against truth, against reality itself. And the Watchtower does not appear to be on the right side. The Bible has something to say about the ongoing campaign against truth. Too bad that the Governing Body has no knowledge of it. The eighth chapter of Daniel foretells the gradual ascension of a fierce-looking king who will be the last king in a centuries-long succession of empires dating back to the pharaohs of Egypt. The king will wage war against the Prince of princes himself, Jesus Christ, and he will even prevail for a time. The Book of Truth foretells that this last king will gradually ascend from the remnants of Alexander's Grecian empire and ultimately gain success in bringing the mighty ones and the holy ones to ruin during the final part of the days.
Concerning this last king the angel revealed to Daniel: "It grew so great that it reached all the way to the army of the heavens, and it caused some of the army and some of the stars to fall to the earth, and it trampled them down. It exalted itself even against the Prince of the army, and from him the constant feature was taken away, and the established place of his sanctuary was thrown down. And an army was given over, together with the constant feature, because of transgression; and it kept throwing truth to the earth, and it acted and had success." (8:10-12)
For the unfamiliar, the Watchtower's commentary on Daniel posits that the fierce-looking king was/is the Anglo-American duo and they threw down the spiritual sanctuary during WW2. In paragraph 24 of Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy, they make the statement:
In saying that the last king "kept throwing truth to the earth" this suggests that the Little Horn's campaign against truth is an ongoing process, no doubt dating back to when the small horn begins to grow before the beginning of the final part of the days, so that he becomes greater and greater during the time of the end. What is this last-emerging king? It has not fully come to power yet. It is emerging. It is what some call the globalists, whose intention is to destroy the democratic, capitalist, nation-state system and impose a communistic world government where you will own nothing and be happy.
Of course, the real power behind the human scheme to obliterate truth is the unseen ruler of the world, the father of the lie, Satan the Devil. His aim has always been to destroy the holy ones. Throwing truth to the earth is ultimately aimed at erasing God's truth. Think about it. It is written in Genesis that God made them male and female. Simple. True. Indisputable. So what is this nonsense that there are now 72 genders? It is a front in Satan's war against the Book of Truth.
An article appeared on Zero Hedge the other day about a Finnish politician being prosecuted for quoting from the Bible. Ironically, she is a member of the Christian Democrat party! But this is where the war against truth is going. Merely quoting from the Bible is considered hate speech. No doubt the Governing Body is aware of this growing trend and that is why they say very little of substance condemning the LGBTQ fascism that is engulfing the Western world, formerly known as Christendom.
As stated above, the Watchtower is 100% wrong in claiming that the last king does not succeed. Consider the closing words of the prophecy in the Book of Truth: "And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion, a fierce-looking king who understands ambiguous sayings will stand up. His power will become great, but not through his own power. He will bring ruin in an extraordinary way, and he will be successful and act effectively. He will bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin. He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand."
The jw dot org article states: "Falsehood also permeates most religions today." That is not true. Falsehood permeates ALL religions today! But let it be that way "as the transgressors act to a completion."

The article gives a superficial treatment of the topic. The Watchtower's opening sentence suggesting that the line between true and false has been blurred is typical milquetoast. For example, has the line between male and female merely been blurred? Obliterated would be a more apt description.
