Morris no longer on GB

I personally think Morris quit.
The coldness of the ad proves it
We know that there were apparently some differences in the GB
Also 2 new members joined
Maybe those 2 tipped the scales on some complicated issue
Future new doctrine or understanding?
Morris can't stand it and he leaves to not be a part

It is an assumption but based on the facts it seems to me the most viable

The wording used could be for many reasons. Typically when an elder steps down, this wording is used and it could be for personal reasons that are not tied to anything scriptural; however, since Morris was a well-known GB member, it would seem important to indicate a short reason why, ie. personal reasons? Nonetheless, this wording is generic. Certainly if his picture starts disappearing from online articles, etc. then that would likely indicate possible negative reasons even if it wasn't scriptural. Maybe he didn't get the vax?

What I would like to know is if he is still on the various comittees of the org. That could be a tell as to whether he was booted or something else is going on.

Leo Greenlees showed up at my old cong Del Mar north of San Diego after he got the boot for sodomizing a 10yr old boy along with other kids. He stayed at a rich sister's mansion in Rancho Santa Fe until she found out why he got the boot. She kicked him out and then he went to Nawlins LA and joined the Saints. I met him and thought at the time he was creepy. No announcement was ever made to keep your kids away from him.

Yes, but that doesn't surprise me. Other than being on the GB, yes, he is just a peer Elder, which is the highest R&F position. Special privileges, like GB, Committees, etc. are not higher than being an elder, just more responsibility.

Maybe he is “doing the honourable thing” or has seen the writing on the wall over csa cases if courts are now looking back to 1987 in the USA. Maybe though, he might have seen the light! It’s not too late. Let’s hope so.

Well, I hope it is not due to a health issue. I often have wondered why some of these brothers taking the lead do not take care of themselves better physically. Heck, I was dragged into the back room many years ago for trying a cigarette. Surely decades of obesity is much more harmful than a single cigarette?
