SadYep people get old and die. Until they don't.
Very timely! My husband and I just listened to Psalm 142 this morning. Thank you!I tried to take as few liberties as possible with the words to shape this psalm into a modern, rhyming song. I took phrases from several different translations besides the NWT. I hope the sound levels are okay. A lot of guess work. I am more than half deaf.
PSALMS 142 - Aloud to Jehovah I Cry
Aloud to Jehovah I cry,
aloud to Jehovah I plead.
Before him I pour out my complaint,
And tell of my great need,
While my spirit is failing;
then you watch my roadway.
Because the path that I walk upon
Is where their traps are lain
I look on the right and see,
and there is no one that takes an interest in me;
My place is lost to flee,
there is no one looking out for me.
I cry to you, Jehovah;
I say “You are a refuge for me,
my portion in the land of the living.”
Listen, listen to my plea
Pay attention to my cry for help
because I am in great need
Deliver me from my enemies,
because they are too strong for me.
Bring my life out of the dungeon
to give thanks to your name;
Honest men are waiting my prospect to see
If you will do good to me

Nice! Almost sounds like the melody of a bard. Any chance we'll be getting a new podcast or a video soon? I know. It's easy to burn out on that. I haven't made videos in years -- since I was an internet atheist (The worst type). I wanna start an online ministry too, but I still haven't decided on a good format yet. I think I'm going to focus primarily on warning people about the 8th king and what that means. Regardless, we do appreciate all your efforts, Robert. Cheers!I tried to take as few liberties as possible with the words to shape this psalm into a modern, rhyming song. I took phrases from several different translations besides the NWT. Speaking of Elton, while I don't like him all that much, I do love this song. Separating an art from the artist is something I take great pride in. For instance, I still love Michael Jackson's work, despite... well you know, assuming he was guilty.Two different singers…same song.

You’re right Jahrule. I feel the same way about Elton and Michael.Speaking of Elton, while I don't like him all that much, I do love this song. Jeez... I may as well just post the entire soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy, the one Marvel franchise I still like.
@Watchman is that your voice? So beautifully expressed just as David probably expressed himself in this Psalm to Jehovah.I tried to take as few liberties as possible with the words to shape this psalm into a modern, rhyming song. Yeah, that's me. I had been out on the riding mower and got all choked up with dust and pollen and felt like signing. Recorded it on one take after the other tracks were laid down.@Watchman is that your voice? So beautifully expressed just as David probably expressed himself in this Psalm to Jehovah.
I thought I recognized your voice. What a way to get your voice to sound ‘distressed’ but appropriate to sing this Psalm. Very well done.Yeah, that's me. That is the first time I have heard a psalm sung honestly as an ordinary person, and neither for gain nor profile. Very refreshing and carries with it the essence of the relationship between Jehovah and mankind. I can imagine now how they would have sounded at the time they were written.I tried to take as few liberties as possible with the words to shape this psalm into a modern, rhyming song. Ascending the lofty steps of Jerusalem the psalms were recited by the faithful....I think the words of the song lost by watchtower's unfaithfulness are being recited by those more in tune. I hope to be climbing those steps with you B! Rev14:3That is the first time I have heard a psalm sung honestly as an ordinary person, and neither for gain nor profile.
