Norway Decision Update

What does it say exactly? Most articles point to something in January of this year. De-registration?

So if it happens it'll be the second country after Russia to essentially disregard them right?

Some think the decision to do this has to do with their stance on LGBTQ. Might this be the way they fall? The are neither of this world(at least pretending) and probably will be disciplined by Jehovah. What an example of rock and a hard place. This is why people will stand either for or against Jehovah. Because you get support from at least one side. The real biggie to me seems to me this Babylon the Great includes ALL religion including JW organization.

I think it's the DF stance. As for the Alphabet crowd, that would men other strict religions would be up for grabs next unless they bend the knee.

this document i read at least is from "tingretten" wich means it is still possible to take it up to a higher court still. the next step will prob be "lagmansretten" and the highest court instance in norway is "høyesterett"

from what i gather this is nothing to do with lgbtq the govs main points is about exclusion of young members , negative social control and isolation of unbaptized youth.
the JW claims all these points to be wrong. their lawyer says that it must be espescially remarked how jws dont hide their kids away at private schools (point 2.2) that kids are not denied taking part in sports f x.. (good activities in society)that of grown up jws many have a good education. they say only 1 person under 18 was registered as leaving the org and that the norwegian state has failed to document any mental harm or bad practice against him or any other minor.

yeah weasel lawyer stuff.. srry dont have time for more right now so i skimmed through it
can read over later and ill post more if i find somthing more heres the link to the document if anyone wanna use google translate or something https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JA4vjDrsZXiyID85AyC0C4s5k5_IjRdW/view

I know they put out articles about pre-18 year olds being disfellowshipped. The advice was, you take care of the minimum required(food/shelter/water) until they mature enough but then they have to leave. It would still be pretty harsh as you'd barely be able to talk to your parents.

In my congregation as an adult there was a boy who was about 10 year old at that time. I asked him questions and he said he could pioneer when he got older if he couldn't find jobs. I think he got baptized little before I did. To be fair, he seemed quite mature for his age.

It's possible they are really towards Jehovah but nowadays I wonder how many that are baptized that young have it in their hearts? My parents told me I was always excited to go to paradise but I barely knew the basics when I started studying at 28.

the verdict will not infringe on how jws practice their religion, the only two things it does is to strip it of the privilige of state funding and the status as a "religion" or "faithbased society"
they are not allowed to suspend the effect of the verdict while waiting on a second courts opinion.
