Relationships, Men, Women and Watchtower

Good for you for tuning up those hellions in school.
Peter had his edgy side for sure as witnessed in the whole cutting off the ear of one of the chief priests club wielding servants coming to arrest Jesus.
I think Jehovah has a soft spot in His heart for men of action who get physical against blatant unrighteousness.
Of course when the eighth kings minions come to grind our faces into the mud with their jackboots , it may require some self control not to retaliate.
That’ll be a tough one at least for me.
I have no intention of cooperating with them and yeah I might get clobbered for it. I’ve wondered if Jehovah wants us to ‘go along’ as in be calm and not resist but they’re his enemies and I really can’t see myself cooperating with Jehovah’s enemies. Actually I’d hate it. I’d be doing the wrong thing. Any thoughts Ken or anyone? It really worries me thinking about what these lunatics are going to expect us to do because I’m not planning on doing it. Or are we supposed to go along to a degree?

I suppose prayer with listening to your intuition would be a way to go. The spirit can connect to us in which it tells us what we need to do.

Yes I certainly agree with you PJ54 Prayer in keeping with Jehovah’s will is essential . . and powerful. It’s just that I’ve never been great with ‘authority figures’ 🙄 and don’t intend to start now. We don’t really know what they’ll expect us to do, at least at the start but yes, Jehovah will help us for sure. Thanks for your input

I had to think about this for a bit, but I think I agree with you. Although boy/girl friendships can be tricky like @Driven said.

Before covid, my best friend was male. @Something Borrowed and I went to his wedding. I think that's the secret, we talked on the phone (which I always have on speaker cause I don't want that thing near my head) or on Messenger back then but we never met in private without our spouses. And we never talked about intimate details, we had a mutual hobby and it was usually about that, with some stuff that happened in our lives mixed in. Then covid came along and poof went our friendship cause I wouldn't take the jab.

We have never had real friends in the org. My husband and I aren't the poster kids for the org :ROFLMAO: We have a very sarcastic, dark sense of humor and it seems that is not appreciated. Added to that, we both have been suffering from chronic pain for years (thank God, @Something Borrowed is doing loads better since about two years, but he had terrible pain and a matching pain killer addiction for 20 years). You're not fun when you're in pain and it seems that conversations should always be fun.

Friendships in the org are usually very shallow. I think the policing is one part of it, but it seems that most just can't face reality for some reason. Just look at the story @Dove08 told about the covid vaccines being too strong. No, they're not too strong, they're deadly. But that means they have to face consequences and they don't like that. Just like thinking for themselves, that's just not fun. It's all so very shallow and I like people with depth, with scars, with stories to tell. They are the interesting ones. Not the giggly women who don't have two brain cells between them, that's just not me. It just dawned on me that maybe I'm just not fun, although I can always laugh wholeheartedly at my own jokes :ROFLMAO:
I always laugh at my own jokes !!

This is what I’m wondering. Are we suppose to just keep doing as they say?
Can’t do it anymore, just can’t.

Also, there is a difference between those who have a legal right to say “arrest” you and those who don’t. Look at the example of Jesus and I like Stephen too. The Sanhedrin was part of the Jewish system and he made a case there but didn’t hold back. They stoned him and yet he asked Jehovah to not hold it against them. No account of him retaliating. But we are at times told to flee.

Matthew 10:22-24: “And you will be hated by all people on account of my name, but the one who has endured to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in one city, flee to another; for truly I say to you, you will by no means complete the circuit of the cities of Israel until the Son of man arrives. “A student is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master”.

Regarding the governments, Matthew 22:21: “They said: “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them: “Pay back, therefore, Caesar’s things to Caesar, but God’s things to God.”

Regarding the GB, 2 Corinthians 1:24 shows they should not be masters over another one’s faith: “Not that we are the masters over your faith, but we are fellow workers for your joy, for it is by your faith that you are standing.”

1 Corinthians 10:31: “Therefore, whether you are eating or drinking or doing anything else, do all things for God’s glory.“

Meditate on how you can glorify Jehovah with your choices. For me the first concern is to uphold what is true and not get involved in deceit. Very little is black and white, but there are many principles to be considered and applied.

Yes I agree. Your right, I am master over MY own faith. It was my faith that has gotten me this far. Now I need to keep reminding myself of this.

None of us will get away with telling Jehovah that we did or didn’t do something because of what the Governing Body tells us. We have God’s word. We can pray for holy spirit and we have reasoning minds. And, we have the perfect example of his Son, Jesus as well as other faithful ones recorded in the Bible.

It seems this place is gathering people who are very much alike. I haven't had friends in the org in decades. They are not really your firends, and I guess I have know this foir at least 25 years.

I like people with depth, with scars, with stories to tell.
I have had so many people tell me I should write a book, and if they are a witness I always say, "I can't it would bring reproach on Jehovah." Now that I realize the WT has already done that, maybe I should write a book! LOL!!!!! OMG, I should PM you story of my brother's beer drinking demon buddy! It's just too much!

You know what, I'll post it here. This was close to 30 years ago I guess. I took my younger brother to visit our older brother on a weekend. Saturday night we stopped at the store, and all three of us bought 3 different kinds of beer, according to our tastes.

The next day and after the meeting some time after lunch, my little brother approaches me, and accuses me of "drinking one of his beers."

I said, "little brother, I didn't drink your beer, and nobody else did either, you drank it." He boughed up, and said, in front of our older brothers brothers-in-law who were little kids, "I swear to Jehovah I didn't drink that beer." (This was literally one beer, or I should say two beers. If you knew this little drunk, it would have much more perspective...).

I was sitting outside on the porch, I stood up and said, "little brother, let's go inside." I walked him to the trash, opened the lid, lifted up the beer bottles to reveal his TWO beers, and I said, "There you go, there's the beers you drank." Was that the end of it? (You clearly do not know my brother, who btw, had "appointment by God's holy spirit" as an elder in his not to distant future.)

No not the end! No in fact "a demon did that." A demon planted one beer in the trash to "frame" my little brother, because he drank not one beer, but two.

It was so ridiculous, I was arguing with him about it and then our older brother came into the room, and I said, "are you hearing this?" And he said, "it's true I have had problems with demons in this house. Sometimes my TV is on MTV, and I never watch MTV."

This is why I said in the other thread, the WT creates crazy thinking in people!

It's just too much. I just proof read the end of this, and it's so laughable it still makes me laugh to this day.

BTW, this is the actual definition of "you can't make this up" because no one would makeup something this stupid.

you’re so right @Nomex. I’m glad you can look back at these experiences and laugh. It’s not funny but it’s truly comical.

I thought a demon stole my Live Forever book one time- in fact i convinced myself that a demon came to my house and took my Live Forever book.

I ended up finding it- and so i convinced myself that the demon brought it back. hahahaha sigh.

@BARNABY THE DOG. I'm your friend
@PJ54 I’m your friend too.

@Ms_ladyblue I’m stealing your meme. hahaha that made me laugh.
