There are other reasons too Geoffrey. One example is that those "pillars" have noticed something has seriously gone awry & are standing up to protect the flock.

Exactly, which is, I dare say, the main reason for the disfellowshipping of these "spiritual giants"...to "blind" the flock from the obvious.

Found it interesting that the 2001 WT article would have been written shortly after the WT's involvement as a NGO was discovered. At the time, we weren't aware of any of this, but, now, wondering if there was a significant fall-out among some of the elders "in the know" after the public exposure of this in the Guardian? Maybe this article was written to protect the congregation at that time as well???

When I gave as one of my reasons for leaving was membership with the U.N. it was interesting the reply from the three on the judiciary; one said 'Oh Michael how could you ever believe such a lie?'....the other two looked perfectly relaxed to the point of being in full recognition of the membership.

Yes, it's interesting that Geoffrey Jackson, in his morning worship video, chose to point out three things that could be true as to why "spiritual giants" in the congregation are being disfellowshipped. However, he failed to mention other "noble" possibilities since that might shine a much more "virtuous" light on the disfellowshipped brother in which case he would retain his "spiritual stature" and would be able to have a positive influence on others in the congregation. :ROFLMAO:

Wasn't it pathetic? The lengths they go to to make sure their image isn't shattered totally disregarding the affect it has on others.
But, their day will come when it all comes crashing down upon them.
 
I watched a documentary this weekend about Jared the Subway guy, and how he was completely different on the surface. Seemed very likable and was "inspiring" young people etc...and the level of what a demonic little goblin that he really is, it just demonstrated to me how someone can completely and thoroughly deceive others. I think that this will be the case when they are truly exposed. Now, I am not suggesting their are GB members who are pedo's but there have been in the past, but with all the lawsuits world wide with their handling of CSA, it would not surprise me one bit, if that leads to their eventual destruction. It's very had to speculate on what will actually bring them down, but we all know Jackson has no problem lying to a court of law, so it begs the question, what else, and to what extent do these lies go?
 
Believing in so called conspiracy theories are heavily discouraged. Even when those conspiracy theories turn out to be factual in time. And where's the apology from them? Even gas lighting people for believing in them. Truth promotes unity. I understand they have leadership and a responsibility but there is also accountability. So many have been discouraged since the pandemic and even now. This is the result of not apologizing for advocating actual conspiracy theories perpetrated by big pharma, corrupt politicians and through mainstream news media and of course Satan who ultimately controls those powers. Like, taking the vaccine will prevent death and transmission, and that Covid came out naturally when it really was a lab leak. To not correct ones step will only continue to cause less faith in the leadership. I believe Jehovah is trying to teach us a valuable lesson in this time. To fully trust in him and his word. For even the elect will be deceived in the time of the end and there will be a time where the GB will not be around during a certain time during the great tribulation. Jehovah is preparing us for that now, as the ones that can't communicate with God effectively because of fear or lack of applying biblical wisdom to real life because they rely 100% on the GB direction. These are the ones that the AntiChrist will target because they gave into fear because their leadership is gone. What if the AntiChrist quotes scripture and tells them about Romans chapter 13. Follow the superior authorities. Get on a train that will lead them to safety and security. Despite that very train that leads them into a concentration camp where they are lead into a gas chamber or firing squad and killed or tortured to give out information to search for others and hunt them down, thus not only endangering them but others too.
