It is a psychological response to capitals in that people understand or feel shouted at. It is the same with italics and underlining. I have the same response myself. The capitals issues are then added to the tone of the response and the justification that we are all imperfect adds an unqualified guilt. Be that as it may we have to consider what people have been through in their association with watchtower, and that venting it is therapeutic. I am sure that there were some at the receiving end of the speech that Jesus made to the Pharisees, calling them vipers and sons of the devil, who felt in a similar vein in that they were innocent of such words. Yet the bible points out that there is such a thing as “righteous indignation” and which would encapsulate the seemingly innocent, who are part of it by default, as are the majority of those within the congregation with their agreement of and participation in, persuading others to succumb to the vaccine, or zoom meetings, closed halls and substitute witnessing ad infinitum.
Guilt by association, is something that the watchtower is very aware of. (‘Bad associations’), So is Jehovah (mark of the beast). An unfortunate side effect is that whilst watchtower assume direction over what is bad association, Jehovah sees the choices of the heart. To divide between the two is our failing. I have rattled off denunciation far more often than I should have; made assumptions etc; and generally lumped all the witnesses together under the spell of the watchtower. It’s wrong, but we all do it, because the few that are there, aware and actively opposed to watchtower remain seemingly silent. Yet silence in itself is acquiescence to evil we are told, and so judgement gets generalised, and which is why Jehovah judges the heart. In the end analysis though, what is true in the matter is that people rarely point the finger at the individual. What is being said is a general denunciation of the watchtower, along with exasperation about those who cannot see it. And that is part of prophesy. It is difficult for all of us.
