ChatGPT and General Artificial Intelligence, an Image That Comes to Life?

Experimented with an AI audio program called Eleven Labs to see how easy one could make a deepfake of people's voices I used five minutes of audio clips from a voice actor I worked with on an unfinished motion comic project in 2016. It exceeded my expectations a little you could still tell it was software but the gap between normal text to to speech and real human output with those samples and just three short paragraphs of text for it to to work off of was 80% narrower the only tell was that the tone and pacing was a bit to even for the context so I spent barely a minute tweaking the settings and in the second run it was only half as not natural. With just ten megabytes of audio samples and ten minutes of effort I think you could really fool people with where software is at. We're definitely approaching an era where there will be enormous deception using machine learning.

BTW 5G is not what its cracked up to be. Maybe next Gen efforts might get closer to what they want prehaps but the Generative Pre-Trained tool out at the minute, has it's moments. It is amazing how quick computer tech has progressed in a short time.

But I suspect AI won't come close to what the human brain will be able to do running at full capacity, maybe even half capacity. After-all the human brain built the thing. The human brain will have eternity to develop further.

Exciting times just ahead and beyond.

The human brain is far, far beyond our understanding. One research postulates that when we think of something in our minds, it physically creates the structure and shapes(but in a more primitive format, like a building looks more like a stick), and they are created and destroyed dynamically as we change what we think in our minds, like a structure kids build in beaches using sand.

So when someone believes something, to them they have every reason to believe it's real, because it is real to them. It exists in a physical format, at least in their brains. The understanding neurons are just on/off switches like transistors are an extremely simplistic understanding. Like if it's compared to mathematics, the top scientists are just figuring out what 1+1 equals to. Of course they have to view the brain in the 1+1 format since that's all they know.

Computers have nothing on that. Way back in the 80's they believed 1TFlop(1 Trillion Floating Point operations per second) was the performance of the human brain. Nvidia, a leading company making hardware for artificial intelligence, now believes something in the ZettaFlops, or billions of times powerful than TeraFlop is necessary. In reality, they don't know their behind from the front. That's cause they are trying to brute force something the human brain does elegantly. Intuition, creativity, consciousness. The single leading man believing Singularity, where the belief is machines will outperform the human brain is Ray Kurzweil. It was 50 years away 50 years ago and it's still 50 years away.

@Jahrule I checked out ChatGPT for simple programming. It can do quite a bit. I bet you can cut your ~20 year time period to just couple of years. You can use it to set foundations, so you are free to do what I'd call high level work. Like previous to computers, electronics design were painstakingly drawn on paper by hand. Now it's CAD and it's much faster. That didn't obsolete engineers - actually the demand and complexity grew.

I fear that my beliefs that AI/Machine Learning would be our next world might have been too optimistic.

I now see a possibility for nuclear war now. Movement is growing against what the elites are doing and even those that were previously leftists are abandoning them. Nuclear war will make all those worries null.

I'm reading the real number of troop losses for Ukraine is 150,000, or more than half of their entire army. With Biden saying "Sending Tanks is WWIII" and then saying "We're sending in Abram tanks", we're in a real serious situation. The whole thing about having nukes because it's a deterrent only works if it's humans doing it. However we know demons are involved. Nuclear war also fits the bill for a "Great Tribulation". Some things they cannot implement without radical changes.

Like someone here pointed out eliminating religion at this point by the UN will cause them to be laughed out of the office.

Literally hours after thinking at work that an AI overlord is perfect for communist ideology because with the Metadata it can be made a cognitive "every/averageman" the averaged out composite of everyone in it's society etc given marxisms fixation on equalization, homogenization and denial/penalization/erosion/elimination of the fundamental distinctions between people such an AI would be the perfect ruler fot a commie state in terms of their ideology I saw this twitter post on telegram from musk on neuralink

AI will never be a perfect ruler. It was created and trained by imperfect humans. In Jehovah's new system the human brain will be perfect with infinite capacity, and therefore able to create perfection.

I wasn't saying it would be a perfect ruler if anything it would be a nightmare with how messed up it would be by silicon valley types programming it to be woke. I was saying i can see how an AI ruler would be a mentally appealing concept to the mentally ill because it can as Musk phrases it represent the collective will and with a non human in charge theres no inequality of any humans having more wealth power or status than there fellow slaves in that scenario. True any creative output in the new system would be vastly superior.

The most idiotic thing about coupling computers to the human brain is that it can be hacked. How stupid can people be? It can always be hacked even the military grade ones. It's all done by humans anyway, so someone with enough time and persistence will figure it out.

That also means you'll be able to control humans like you do an RC car. Why would you want that? That fact that smart people like Elon Musk says this means in some ways there's denial. I have to believe in some level they know this, unconsciously or not. Tesla cars have been demonstrated to be hacked because apparently every system is all connected to the network. The article says from anywhere around the world you can accelerate/decelerate the car!

Nevermind being woke, control is the biggest issue.

One tech that will NEVER exist in the new world. Surveillance cameras of any kind. Not needed. Unlike other inventions, surveillance cameras have been made for the sole purpose that people don't trust each other and are always afraid.

The error occurred because AI is not sentient prehaps. The thing cannot make up stuff on the fly. Besides it said "nigger" but no error. The error occurred when it was confronted, which required the thing to explain itself. It was not able to think outside the box, because it was not fed any scenarios to include lateral think options. The slur did not cause the error, but it's inability to adapt caused the error prehaps. ie "no results were found for your request."

A.I. take over in workforce.
