Hello Ana, How are you? I have not found it to be the case in that the greater the understanding, the greater the feeling of insignificance. It’s a contradiction in terms. If one understands “love” correctly, then there is a place for us in creation. A sense of belonging in that our existence has meaning within the purpose of Jehovah. But it is more than that. It is also a continuance of the ‘theme’ of creation, in that our existence is the very reason creation was established. In itself, perhaps that is less of a function, than it is a realisation that we are loved for what we are, and loved for our contribution, given in our own way, with our own sense of devotion to the purpose of Jehovah, and even for our personality expressed in doing just that - our expression of love for Jehovah as we see it to be, given the understanding that we have.Cuanto más se observa la grandeza de Jehová como creador, más humildad deberíamos de mostrar. Es inversamente proporcional, algo así como: Que inmenso es Jehová=que insignificancia la nuestra!! Y así, todo el tiempo... Abrazo!!
It is of value to Jehovah as our sense of belonging with Him, is our own personal expression of devotion to Him for that which He is. Only our self can show Him that. We are unique in that way to Him.
Prayer - the personal standard by which perhaps we are measured, is a tell-all of our openness with Jehovah, and thus the revelation of our heart, the effort we put in to our understanding of His attributes. Do we not see this in the manifestations of our children towards us as parents, or even from the animals that we may keep?
Watchtower, as with all religions, preaches “unworthiness” as the go-to standard for our motivation in praise of God. This is a never ending circle because they do not teach the truth. Watchtower teaches “truth” in its most elementary of form. It neither feeds, waters or sustains. One might conclude that all it does for those seeking truth, is to make them eternally thirsty for it, eventually making them seek ”water” elsewhere. Who here, was ever truly at peace? Who here now, cannot but see the yawning gap between what is true in essence, and what is actively true with reason, understanding, and a sense of establishment in the purpose of Jehovah?
It is a lie that we are unworthy. What child born of a mother is ever unworthy? If that is built in to our sense of being, then how can the same be denied of Jehovah whom created us? Thus in ignorance we may well condemn ourselves in thinking that way, but in reaching understanding, and in our expressions of understanding and its inevitable outcomes of devotion to our creator, we become, dare one say it, “loved”. The scripture says so. “Taste and see that Jehovah is good.” If you do, you quickly become loved, and know it, too. Unworthiness is a lie to keep us distant from understanding Jehovah and to remain under the power and control of men - Satan. “Don’t bother, you’re never good enough.” “Go! Well fed by us.” Jehovah though extends the open hand, full of good things for those that approach Him with understanding. The touchstone to all this is so very simple in principle. Love is empty, unless it is reciprocated. So if its goal is to be reciprocated, then how can one ever say we are “unworthy” when the very act of reciprocating love with depth and understanding becomes true love between two beings? (Let me know if the translation does not make sense and I’ll try to put it differently…...I will “shout” as the English do in such cases).
