I think I'm just going to have to do it....

Something I wanted to mention is the elders might ask on how the brochure was obtained. It's possible that the discussion could be shut down & not even considered depending on who is spoken to.
He can respond, that it fell from heaven and landed right in his pathway. Seriously, it is not an issue. He shouldn't let them get off by questioning the source. The information stands on its own. It was written by someone who thoroughly knows the Watchtower's teachings and the Bible. It requires a response based on the Scriptures. We are required to make sure of all things. So, that is why the elders ought to consider the information.

good of you! View attachment 3326 A big step that requires courage; View attachment 3325 If I may make a suggestion? Don't let the anger/frustration get the better of you; let the entire letter rest for a few days, read it again and only when you are satisfied with what you want to convey, send it
Yes, good advice. That's what I had to do. It took MUCH thought & prayers before I could actually send my letter/email.
Mine actually was a letter of DA, but as of today I am still not officially DA/DF 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you want my input---scrap the letter. Don't confuse your unresolved personal issues with the bigger issues between Jehovah and Satan. Your elders are in no position to independently determine what is true and what is false anyway. They are appointed by the WT to uphold whatever the Governing Body says is true. By default, you will be marked as an enemy of the GB, which they equate with Jehovah. Unless, of course, you want to be tossed out as an apostate.

Might I suggest presenting your elders with a copy of the Second Coming of Christ brochure and humbly asking them to consider and clarify some points? Present it, not as a challenge to them, but to help you to bolster your faith because you have your doubts about Christ having supposedly set everything straight back in 1914.
Thank you for this. It's been well over a year and this is the second time I posted a proposed letter I was considering giving the brothers. I'm not sure what I am going to do. I am convinced I will not give them anything in writing, so if i do any thing it anything I have written i will use as an "outline" if I decide to tell them anything. The one brother keeps wanting to 'encourage" us. The issue I am having is I am a shoot from the hip type person. I do not mince words what you see is what you get. What ever I decide since I prefer not to get DF'd most likely what i will do if anything at all, is tell this one brother how I feel, and then refuse to talk to "two brothers" since I of course will know what that is about.

Any way, thanks to everyone for your comments....once again just having this avenue as an outlet is a huge relief!

What's with all the letter writing around here lately? Nomex you go into a meeting with them and you deck them, one after the other. Simple. Easy. AND, it gets your point across.
ROFLOL. That's one way. And I'd feel a lot better, and they wouldn't DF me for "apostasy" and they all be so afraid of me, I'd never hear from them again! They DF me, just not for apostasy!

Ya know Nomex, many people have used writing letters as an outlet to vent their feelings about whatever it is on their mind and since this has happened twice maybe you, unknowingly are getting it all out what you need to say. The elders may never even read it. But just think, Jehovah sees what you’ve written. Whatever you decide though should be what you feel comfortable with and be settled in your heart.

once again just having this avenue as an outlet is a huge relief!
And that’s a blessing for sure Nomex! 😊

My two cents is don't say anything now. It was probably very therapeutic for you to put that all down in writing. For the moment, it appears much of these vax and mask items are in the rearview mirror. Not that they can't reappear but they could also fade away further. Why re-invigorate the issue now?

Many countries in Africa did not have excessive mortality because of the lower life expectancy age. I posted that cremation study because it made the point that once they knew the cremation percentages were relatively constant, they could use total cremation #s as a quick gage of excessive mortality...and those #s did show something was going on. It avoids the murky 'died of' vs. 'died with' agenda fueled debate and the #s indicate something was culling the population in excess of the normal expectations.

I am with you on so many items, N95 masks and respirators, experimental gene therapy, Jehovah blessing the vaccine, etc. etc. But one of your jumping off points, that 'there were no excess deaths anywhere in the world' I believe to be incorrect. I would not want for you to enter this charged debate without all your datasets correct. Especially now, when at least for the moment, this topic might be having some respite.

I believe your knowledge, especially of respirators, coupled with your desire and achievement of being a good and protective parent made the Watchtower's handling of the pandemic even more difficult for you than other people. You made a comment about birthdays that stemmed from the 'good parenting department' and reacted when a comment didn't validate it the way you intended it. Depression in men often manifests itself with aggression. I'm not trying to psychoanalyze you, I just put it out there. It was depressing to hear that Jehovah was blessing the vaccine the way he supposedly was.

No. They would call the cops and have you arrested for assault and battery. They won't call the cops when some pedophile rapes a kid but they would if you hurt them.
Truer words have never been spoken. But maybe if I caught them all one at a time alone, then they wouldn't have a "two witness" rule, and it would be their word against mine. And when they questioned me I would quote Clint Eastwood from Dirty Harry and say, "besides anyone can see I didn't do that to him, he looks too damn good." LOL, the guys whole face is in bandages except one eye!

Of course I mean this in jest, most of my elders are good people and there's only one I have even considered assault and battery because of the way he talked to my wife, and he's not in my Hall anymore because we moved. 😀

Yep. They're mostly cowards. They won't speak up for the little ones as it would put them in a spot with their sugar daddies at the WBTS. The GB might take away their "place and their nation" (John 11:48). But if they are threatened in the least way they cry like 10 year old girls and call out for the police to help them. Disgusting caricatures of men of God, of real servants of Jehovah.

They become the new age Scribes and Pharisees more and more each day. May Jehovah see to it...not Nomex. :)

I think you hit the nail on the head kirmmy. You described WTBTS perfectly! And we know what’s going to happen with cowards like them. And “new age Scribes and Pharisees.” I like that analogy!

Ha reminds me of when I was young and fit and I had an elder cornered in the KH for making my wife cry. Made him go and apologise with threats of gbh😂

HaHa! I love it. GBH? Great big hug? I'm sure he deserved one...

BTW Seadog, welcome! I don't believe I've seen you here yet. You've probably been here a while but I don't get around much anymore. :)

Seadog just got on January 31, 2023. Welcome Seadog. I can see so many new ones coming on we can’t welcome them fast enough. But I know we’re glad to have you here. 😊

Btw kirmmy, this music is so jazzy, like New Orleans jazz. I grew up hearing this music back in the day. I love it!
