Crisis of Conscience is a good read as it looks behind the WT curtain which the majority of JWs will never peek behind. Christian Freedom is more about Ray's Christian beliefs after leaving the WT, some of those beliefs I agree with others not so much. I thought Ray went a bit soft, you know like a lot of Christians do: "God loves you know matter what you do" and the like. The book didn't captivate me like his 1st. So far I haven't found anything in the same league as Roberts book in expounding the truth.what did you think of Ray Franz’s second book? I haven’t read it. I’m wondering if i should take the time to read it. Did you like it?
I read Leaving The Witness which I didn’t really find very edifying or interesting, i read Doomsday Deception: The Rise and Fall Of Watchtower which was very well researched and I must say, a great read, and of course Crisis of Conscience, which is when/how i learned of the events leading up to 1975.
I thought about reading Lloyd Evans’s The Reluctant Apostate, but the more i hear what is trickling out about Lloyd, the further i want to distance myself from anything having to do with him. I appeared on his show and now i regret that. Something’s not right with that man. I can’t prove it but i think, i mean i believe that his viewers (subs) and patreons have been played. bigly.
Unfortunately for Lloyd being an atheist he has nothing to offer other than his opinion. He has done a fine work in revealing the WTs dirty deeds but then what? Live out your remaining years as an empty vessel with no hope other than this world. Life would truly be vanity then.
