Strange, illogical and impractical, the “New Doctrine”

We are in Hawaii but we live on the island of Oahu. Diamond Head is our extinct volcano and so no action on this island. We do get some Vog (Volcanic smog) from the Big Island where I believe they have 3 active volcanoes. I think they say there are 4 active ones but actually one is pretty much dormant, at least for now. So, we are in no danger at this distance. I am tempted to fly over to the Big Island to see a live flowing volcano because how many chances would one get to see that in person? But, I am a bit too nervous about lava bombs.
Also ash might foul the plane engines. Best not to go sight seeing! When there was a little eruption on Iceland it shut down Europe for a few days. It’s probably a lot safer for you to feel the effects by getting Mr Driven to light a barbecue and sit in front of it eating a Ghost Pepper curry. I’m glad you are both safe - but wear a hard hat if you go outside just in case….oh! and don’t forget to wear a mask!

I have always pictured UK dudes as little people around 5'8"👩‍🦲.
The average height of the common Englishman circa 1900 was about 5ft 6” and for the First World War, when most of the taller soldiers were dead, the British army introduced what came to be called Bantams battalions - all of them being under 5 ft 3 “ tall and some actually under five feet tall. If they could fire a rifle, that was all that was necessary. At the war outbreak in 1914 the height requirement was 5ft 6”. However, our family have always been tall. My sister was 6ft tall and the other sister slightly less. I was taller than my father and my elder brother was under 6 foot and took umbrage at me for being taller than him. You might think it a tall story, but it’s not. Just the long and short of it really.

Can't Bethel give the friends something to put on their resume? Is there any skills gained there? Otherwise, I wonder if there are those who are homeless. Generally the congregations tend to help out but, some are not as charitable as others.
They came from the world so they had some Experience. He was a bus driver for years before the...ahem..."upward call" It would have been a bit difficult for them but I think they landed on their feet. Gotta remember, if they are true worshippers of Jah, he'll help them survive...and even thrive. And both of them were really good, down-to-earth people, very kind and generous. God helps those who...? Help others!
