Doesn't surprise me. They are a real estate empire now after all. This is what they do. Buy low, sell high. Simple. If I had tax exempt status, I'd be doing the same thing.
Wait a minute...Maybe I should look into starting a non profit. Anyone want to join my new religion? I promise a peaceful future is right around the corner, everlasting life included, plus you can still eat steak and Ill throw in free ice cream on Sunday. Its just around the corner....who's in?

"Watchtower intends to use the wooded property as a retreat where members can enjoy the “natural contemplative setting.” Ramapo’s issue is that Watchtower should remove the subdivision plan if the group intends not to build...(for tax purposes as it robs the state of income)
According to the article, religious organizations are tax exempt because of the understanding that this frees the property to be used in part to provide for the homeless. :ROFLMAO:
How many homeless could fit into all the tax free property they will build in Ramapo? Mark my words. One day the tax statuses of religious organizations we be removed and the WT will crash into its own footprint overnight..

You could get quite a many homeless onto those properties. But the thing is they won't fit in any homeless on any of their properties anywhere.

Nope, anymore than seeing them set up a soup kitchen for the poor next to the movie studio...

Soon counties and states will not welcome WT real estate investments as it becomes evident the state loses millions in taxes. It will also become evident in time that the Org. does nothing for the welfare of the community at large. As a matter of fact, they've publicized over the years how they anxiously await the destruction of all those non witnesses. RUN..!

Here is an article that a Sister sent to me regarding the Watchtower’s property tax exemption.

Even though its a 2015 article, it was nice to read the section that they did do community improvement with the athletic fields, town hall and trails.

Its true and WT will then claim they are being attacked by Gog of Megog. Run to your basement bunkers and await the strange, illogical, impractical instructions from the GB.
"Brother Gullible, are you sure the GB wants us to drink this special Cherry flavored Koolaid?" "Yes, loyal slave. Its a provision from Jehovah...this is no time for such a display of lack of faith...drink up! You'll need this special boost for when the troops arrive."

You know this is what L. Ron Hubbard said and did. He said something like there is a lot of money is starting a religion. LOL...and the funniest thing is it worked.
It always helps when you have your masonic brethren helping out. Check out the Scientology logo below. A serpent winding through two pyramids. Kinda cool, as far as demonic logos go.

Steak?!... Actually, the eating of meat in this religion stumbled me. What about the "sanctity of life", and future vision to "live in harmony with the animals"? Why not personally enact jehovah's loving arrangement now that we have the opportunity to eat a plethora of fruits, vegetables, and grains at our fingertips? The average R&F JW answer is because Jah allowed it after the flood- with zero deeper thinking on how unique our situation is today on the ability to make compassionate food choices.
