So, you identify as a woman having a beard but refusing to wear women’s clothing thereby identifying yourself as a man. Hmm…makes sense.I've really been giving this some thought. I have decided I am going to start identifying as a woman, but I refuse to shave my beard, so to answer your question, yes. I also refuse to wear woman's clothing etc, but that doesn't matter. It's "my truth." I'm doing my part to "fight the patriarchy."
Here’s an excerpt from the letter, last paragraph:
I swear, at times it felt like feeling bad the whole time was Jehovah's way of doing things. The whole world is against you... no.... always against you all the time, no ifs and or buts about it.Yes it is absolutely ridiculous. They ripped the joy out of everything.
Some churches preach hellfire and damnation, some preach Grace, Grace, Grace. The truth is somewhere in between. The WT says forgiveness with work work work. But it always felt like "you'll never be good enough". The voice of the enemy is apparent now.I swear, at times it felt like feeling bad the whole time was Jehovah's way of doing things. The whole world is against you... no.... always against you all the time, no ifs and or buts about it.
That's being too generous. It's an ox-drawn cart with the wheels damaged long ago. Long, LONG ago. That was painful to watch. You know how the WT is fond of talking about keeping up with Jehovah's fast-paced celestial chariot? It is more like a plodding ox-drawn cart.
Surely that’s a false image made by AI - Apostate intelligence.Geoffery Jackson sporting a Goatee
Patricia this is exactly he we felt. The continued expectation of do more and never quite reaching the group standard as defined by the GB.The WT says forgiveness with work work work. But it always felt like "you'll never be good enough". The voice of the enemy is apparent now.
Yes, I did. Kinda fits doesn't itDid you make those lyrics up you posted above kirmmy? Haha
Fits just right….Very good kirmmy!Yes, I did. Kinda fits doesn't it
The problem with them believing every part of the world is crooked always I assume adds to the cult and herd mentality. If despite the faults, outside of the organization is always flawed, then you'd shut it out. Some churches preach hellfire and damnation, some preach Grace, Grace, Grace. The truth is somewhere in between. The WT says forgiveness with work work work. But it always felt like "you'll never be good enough". The voice of the enemy is apparent now.
That guy is so funny, and his delivery is impeccable. I can't tell you how many times I've heard his joke's and had no idea where he's going.
So to not wear a beard is not mentioned in the bible, “but if Jehovah say something, we do it, I don’t know where it come from an i aint sayin it don’t, but if Jehovah wants it, we do it.….…. even if he don’t say it, but I ain’t sayin‘ that!”. Is that what I heard? I’m beginning to think the psychiatrist shouldn’t have let me out so soon - just when I thought I was getting better too. Now I’m too scared to shave and too paranoid not to.This is quite hilarious, these pour sisters don't realize it, but they trying to explain how the gas lighting we have all endured wasn't actually gas lighting. The one sister admits the beard restriction is not in the Bible, but then says, "If Jehovah tells us to do it we do it." Except she just admitted Jehovah didn't say that in the Bible! Just once again demonstrates that they think the GB is Jehovah!
Very sad that they cannot even explain clearly why they followed the custom of not having beards. This is quite hilarious, these pour sisters don't realize it, but they trying to explain how the gas lighting we have all endured wasn't actually gas lighting. The one sister admits the beard restriction is not in the Bible, but then says, "If Jehovah tells us to do it we do it." Except she just admitted Jehovah didn't say that in the Bible! Just once again demonstrates that they think the GB is Jehovah!
These poor sisters sound just like someone in Christendom trying to explain away their craziness. Just tell the truth when asked a question and you don’t have to hem and haw around it. I call it the circle dance. In the GB video about allowing beards they themselves show brothers with beards before Rutherford, and then no beards during Rutherford. Also, there is a 70's year book, I read it myself, where they claim it was because brothers were wearing beards in imitation of Russel, and they were concerned about "creature worship." That year book confirms Rutherford had a problem with beards, but of course spin it with this "creature worship" garbage. Never mind everyone in the Bible had beards. An older sister told me that it was because of the hippies that they started the no beard thing. As I began to find photos of older JWs I quickly realized that it went a lot farther back than that. Unless anyone can prove otherwise I would guess it goes back to Rutherford.
