Beards allowed for all brothers

I notice that they also just can't help but to lie. In a 1970's year book they admitted the beard prohibition was because of Russell's beard and that it was Rutherford's doing. They claimed that a number of brothers wore beards in "imitation" of Russel, and they were worried about "creature worship" and that is the real "reason" they gave for the beard prohibition. But we all know the real, "real" reason was Rutherford hated Russel.

Interesting...I didn't know this actually. Maybe Rutherford couldn't grow a beard lol...some men just don't have that gene to have a thick beard.

Speaking of changes my mom is still hanging in there as an elderly RP. Her congregation had their CO visit a few weeks ago. As expected my mom got the encouraging visit from the CO and another elder. I could see them arriving at my moms home on the Ring camera (we keep an eye out for her security) the local elder looking like he always has. The CO is new and we have not met him. We were surprised to see the CO was wearing a shirt and tie and a sports coat and jeans and casual sneakers 👟! Not exaggerating he looked like a junior sales executive and nothing like a CO we have ever seen in service! Must be new direction from WT 2.0 and next I’m sure he’ll be sporting a beard!

Can you imagine the type of beards the young men will likely begin wearing? Get your popcorn because it could be very amusing.

Prednisone causes “moon face”. That is what it appears to be to me. Prednisone is prescribed for “Prednisone is a corticosteroid medicine used to decrease inflammation and keep your immune system in check, if it is overactive. Prednisone is used to treat allergic disorders, skin conditions, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and many more conditions.”

If you read between the lines, there was no prohibition from anyone bearded getting baptised, going in service or being on the school. Just from being a MS or elder.
Which means the local brothers were making up there own rules, and prevented people with beards from getting baptised. Which opens another can of worms, if this is true.

My dad always told me beards were bad and only apostates had beards , even though I never believed it because of reading the bible thoroughly. He is rolling in his grave right now.

At the end of the video Lett, says this, "Jehovah has dignified us, he allows each brother the freedom, to choose whether or not, he will wear a beard." It is truly stunning the complete lack of self awareness. The decision was already made thousands of years ago. Yet they are so used to "going beyond what is written," it doesn't even occur to them that they are in the wrong. And that is why I say over and over again that they are incredibly arrogant and it is also why they will never apologize...it doesn't occur to them, that Jehovah never changes and yesterday and every day before that, "Jehovah...allows each brother the freedom, to choose whether or not he will wear a beard." And that they had/have nothing to do with it. Just think of how arrogant you have to be to think you actually have this authority over the brotherhood. It is implied also, when he says this, that this "change" is new. That only now Jehovah is allowing beards. They are disgusting.
Absolutely ! Perfectly said ! - Nomex ,
and they just now, after all these years of persecuting men that wanted to wear a beard, they have come to the conclusion that the early Christian community didn't make rules against men wearing Beards ?

Somehow they missed the facts that the Bible was written by 40 very bearded men, Christianity was started by a bearded man ,
and the Watchtower Organization was started by a bearded man .

No - what this is all about is, people are leaving in droves, after years of feeling beaten down by an authoritarian, legalistic bunch of Pharisees, while at the same time for years they are telling everyone ; we don't go beyond what is written, we don't Lord it over the flock , you have the freedom of choice in matters of conscience.
Well people aren't buying that load of crap anymore.

Men can now wear Beards ! The great and powerful Wizard of Oz has spoken !

Well I think Jehovah is getting ready to soon pull the plug on that mess.

I always thought this was wrong. Thank God they changed it. Lol haha. It was nonsensical. The Hebrews used a beard and it was FORBIDDEN to shave completely. The first century Christians also used a beard. So, I always wondered why did they make such a stupid prohibition?
At least now I will be able to go to the Kingdom Hall without anyone criticizing or looking at me like I'm not from there for using a beard. Lol haha 😂😂😂😂😬. I will use my beard proudly. Haha. 😂😂😬🤭 And looking at them like you were always wrong, but I never stopped using my beard. Lol hahaha 😂😂😂😂

Thank you for that Paul. I had a company man Org elder loyalist text me to say " Have you heard the new GB update? It's about the topics we've been debating! Jehovah has been listening!" LOL, I replied in disgust. There are voices of those whom have been accused, condemned, fleeced and abused and Jehovah hasn't yet responded to them. Yet, He has responded to the outcry on beards? How egregious and disgusting

Im looking forward to the next New Light®™
What will come next... sisters with bluejeans also welcome in Kingdom Hall?

But seriously....
Currently the world is on fire, economic collapse, nuclear WW3 incoming, food shortages, excess vaccine mortality/genocide, and a general collapse of society... and the Watchtower is focussing its energy and resources on beards... Gimme a break....

Back when I first began in the theocratic school and soon progressed to giving talks rather than just the #2 Bible reading, me and this other brother who had just come into the truth too decided that we would both grow beards. We knew the stigma against it but in our naivete, we thought strength in numbers would win out. We were wrong. After I got about a week's worth of whiskers I was informed by the school overseer that I was being busted down to giving #2 talks. It wasn't worth the sacrifice for me because I really liked giving talks. So I shaved. I remember when my ole buddy Ralph walked into the Kingdom Hall and saw me all clean-shaven he said "I knew you would sell me out." Anyway, shortly thereafter Ralph left his beautiful wife and four kids and shacked up with some floozy. And the brothers rewarded me for being submissive and in a short while I was bumped up to giving the Instruction talks. So, I guess there is a reason Jehovah allows the dictators to have their way for now. It is a test. Everything is a test. I remember a Bethel brother years ago said that half of the brothers at Bethel were there to test the other half. I think he was spot on.

I totally agree and this was my thought exactly as I was reading your post. The nerve they have! They truely are the evil slave who beats their own. And to say that only now Jehovah is allowing beards as if they were correct by not allowing them before this. Maddening!

Yeah - whoever said that brothers wore beards in imitation of Russell was lying, just take a look at the photos they put up in the video of the early Watchtower brothers with beards, none of their beards look anything like Russell's beard.

No- this has ALWAYS been about legalistic control, and branding people with their brand.
As Paul said in Galatians 6: 12 ,13 ....those who are trying to force you to Circumcise your face want to look good to others.....they only want you to Circumcise your face so they can boast about it and claim you as their disciples ".

( Just a slight edit of the - New Living Translation , but its the same issues still going on, you get the point. ) 🧔🧑

P.S. I always wondered how did they know if men were circumcised back then anyway ? 😳
