We are told in 2 Peter 1: 20-21 For you know this first, that no prophecy of scripture springs from any private interpretation. For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by Holy Spirit.
Yes it was written by mortal men who were inspired by God’s holy spirit to do so accurately as the scripture above states.
It is clear here that man is not taking credit for writing the bible but were inspired to do so. So while they were the human instruments used for this task, they themselves give the credit to God. Paul has this to say on this, at 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives . That we may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work” The idea here is that the words in the bible are God’s dictation recorded by human secretaries.
Do these people believe in Jesus ? He taught that the bible is the word of God.
It could be worthwhile telling these people that the bible contains 66 little books, was written by forty different men in different locations over a period of sixteen hundred years, addressing the same issues without any contradiction.
I hopes this helps somewhat. I need to add that these time periods are all verifiable
I thought so, too - mortal men couldn't have come up with those words on their own. The Holy Spirit moved them, gave them those words.

I am friends with a sister from the local congregation in my neighborhood, who is one of the few sisters who still talks with me. Her husband is an Elder in the congregation where I attended for 17 years. They are not vaccinated, although in most instances her husband follows the GB in all other areas. They invited me over for dinner last year around November and they began to say that the GB did not mandate the vaccine. Since my daughter in law is a full time worker and I have personal knowledge that the vaccine was mandated or these full time workers would have to leave their position, I spoke up to tell them. He was so upset with me that he excused himself and immediately left the room. Meditator and I decided to go home immediately after that as well. It was a sad end to what should have been a nice dinner.

This sister is so sad because she has no one to talk to with regard to the truth about the vaccine. With the exception of her husband and the disabled son that she cares for, all other family members are vaccinated. One of the reasons that she is sometimes “looked down on” by members of her family, even her daughter, is because she sometimes promotes videos that are extreme and not true as well as ones that are true but many people don’t accept them. She listens to Alex Jones, Mike Adams and others of those types. Some of what they have promoted are true but some of it is false and some is just sensationalized. So, unfortunately they have branded her as someone who listens to conspiracy theories.

Recently she sent to me a video of Poornima Wagh, a virus denier who has been exposed as a complete fraud. I told her that the video was erroneous and she had been completed fooled by Poornima Wagh. Recently this sister and her husband came down with COVID. By the time she called me to tell me, she and her husband were very sick. They had taken Hydroxychloriquine and then Chloride Dioxide and the husband continued to go downhill. I have Ivermectin on hand and I took some to her but either she or her husband did not want to use it. Just in the last few days he had to go the emergency room because his oxygen levels got under 80. Apparently he can barely breath and unfortunately their insurance is Kaiser, who is one of the worst. The last I heard they were at the emergency room and I am hoping he has improved but she hasn’t replied to me and I don’t want to bother her at this critical time.

When I spoke with her a few days ago she was crying because her daughter and others were blaming her for her husband not being vaccinated. The daughter and others truly believe that when you are vaccinated you are protected from severe illness. Unfortunately because she had promoted outlandish “conspiracy” theories she now has a negative reputation and even when she has something truthful to say, she isn’t taken seriously. I feel so sad for her but at the same time, we must all be careful of ideas that we promote to others and I think this is a good example of what can happen.

What a small, wee man. Someone tells you something you don't want to hear and you run away. His poor wife. She needs a big ol' hug. When I hear stories like this I feel so bad for the people involved. If I could somehow help them I would but I'm powerless. :(

There are going to be more stories such as these you relate. The bible is accurate when it states that truth has been thrown down. Cognitive dissonance is the ruler of man now, mixed with ambiguity and lies and boiled down with copious amounts of venom, spite and vitriol into a sea of corruption and confusion. There is no wider sense of informed faith among the masses, no wider concept of our existence within common man - and families are isolated, fractured and distant and love has lost its definition in a material world where instant gratification has become the norm. God has become a ghost described in financial rhetorical terms of materialism. Faith is now the only direction in which we can place our trust, and I would say through an understanding of scripture as well, but I’m not even sure that is the primary stronghold. Faith needs to be ignited by the inner soul, the innate belief in the Creator, the realisation of and sense of the spiritual genesis we all share. That, I feel is the key to a substantial resource in faith. I don’t think you need the bible for that and I think the bible shares that thought where it states plainly that even if we think we have it all, all the credentials of learning and actions within the scripture, but have not love, it is all for nothing. Perhaps that is too blunt a comment to make because I have concern for those still having to work in this world and the issues you explain in your comment, Driven. It is easy to be an armchair Christian in many respects. When I retired I shut the door on the world years ago, and the lock has rusted along with its hinges. For those still labouring under the thumb of man, it is hard to offer support because this world is merciless even to those who wish to help. Thus the need for us all to develop an active faith that Jehovah will reciprocate with His love. Faith seems to inform love. I am not sure how, but that seems to be the case from what others write here.

Wow. So sad all the division this has created among families, friends and the brothers and sisters. Juts terrible. It seems no one is exempt. Anyone who would turn down ivermectin has truly lost their mind.

She listens to Alex Jones, Mike Adams
I have been listening to them both for years. I told Meditator the following a little while back; I don't take anything I hear from anyone as a dogmatic fact, because the fact is, most of us don't know what the truth really is, and it is likely some where between 2 extreme's. I do think it leans closer to the bad extreme, but how bad is really the question. Like I have said many times, it's the "whole world that lies in the power of the wicked one."
Unfortunately because she had promoted outlandish “conspiracy” theories she now has a negative reputation and even when she has something truthful to say, she isn’t taken seriously.
I see the problem is, people not really believing that Satan is in control and because I know that, I just keep most things to myself, from the vast majority of people. If I see they lean a certain way, I drop hints until I know how far they lean. But I think part of your point is we have to use good judgement when we talk to people.

The reason I started listen to Alex Jones and then Mike Adams in the first place, is because many years ago I said to myself, "if Satan really is in control of this system of things, the state of the world must be a lot worst than the leaders Satan controls are letting on, and there must be people out there talking about it, after all Satan "transforms himself into an angel of light".

Also on a related note, one of the issues here is these people are so brainwashed they cannot be reasoned with, and unfortunately nothing we say can penetrate their impenetrable fortress that keeps reason at bay. These same people will blame the unvaccinated for spreading this virus now, which shouldn't matter to anyone who's vaccinated, because "they have been Immunized." But in their world devoid of all reason, unvaccinated people spread the virus to immune people! Which is literally an admission that vaccines don't work, which is the truly amazing thing in this web of lies, how good these liars are at getting people to believe such easily provable lies.

I think the only thing you can say to people like this, is ask these people how many lies to you have to hear, that are admitted lies, before you stop believing liars? And my whole point is this, we should be skeptical of everything we are told, investigate everything we are told, make a reasonable decision on what we believe, and then still be skeptical about that! Until everything we learn comes directly from Jehovah, it's all unreliable!

Trigger warning. This video tells the narrative of how a man was murdered in hospital to prop up the convid narrative, and may be too upsetting for some.

Wow what a horrible story! So maddening! This sounds exactly like what was going on in New York's old folks homes under orders from DeBlazio and Cuomo (along with other cities doing similar things). You are correct, very upsetting indeed!

Here is the latest from "Still in the Storm":

Welcome to another Still in the Storm post!

The State of Science is Dire

Over the last 40 years or so we have effectively witnessed the death of science. It is hard to say, but what is currently put forth in most labs bares little resemblance to true science.

Over the next three videos, I am going to share the truth about the current state of science. There are three main issues that I am going to cover. They are:

  1. The fact that most published research findings are more likely to be false than not.
  2. The reproducibility crisis, where upwards of 90% of scientific papers cannot be replicated.
  3. The broken peer review process.

Approximately 18 years ago John Ioannidis put out his now landmark essay entitled, “Why Most Published Research Findings Are False”. In it he outlined a number of factors which, when present, decrease the probability that a given finding is true. The reality is that in most cases many of these factors are present, thus Ioannidis’ conclusion that most findings are false.

Buckle up! We are going for quite a ride…
