Amazing that I came across this post tonight.
As some know, I was one of the ones fired from my hospital job (housekeeping covid rooms) for not taking the jab.
3 weeks after being fired I did manage to get another job.....shocking right !!?? But I did. A warehouse for Toyota. That lasted just about a year. November would have been 1 yr there.
Again, I was fired. Sept 8 this year. Long story, not jab related.
ANYWAYS, I've applied to several jobs since being fired again. It's not been easy. So many places don't want to hire no matter how short staffed they are unless your 'fully vaccinated'
So a friend of mine (in the same situation) told me to apply to the school board, catholic school board. They don't require or even ask if you are inaculated, jabbed.
After a couple weeks of thinking about it not thinking about it I finally decided I didn't have much choice. I need to work & pay my bills.
I got the job, actually 2 offers to work for the school.
The one job was for an EA (teachers assistant, I'm a PSW), & the other for custodian.
I took the custodian job. This way I am not having to engage in the holiday celebrations the classes do with the kids.
Did I beat myself up over having to make the choice I did?? Absolutely!!!
Now I've made peace with myself. I only have Jehovah to answer to, & that sits ok with me in my heart & mind.
