Protect Yourself From Misinformation

IM sure there is some humility in the organization with some of the brothers and sisters. Im probably like a farmer that has an entire barrel of rotten apples and he throws the whole barrel to trash. Im sure there were a few good apples in the barrel, there always is.
I just want to reiterate, I'm so sorry what you had to go through. I'm tearing up and my wife is looking at me wondering what is going on.

So if some Jehovah's Witnesses were being cruel to those unvaccinated Jehovah's Witnesses among them, are the ones being treated poorly lacking in humility as well? Not all of Jehovah's Witnesses accepted the vaccines, and of those who didn't, some were punished, or persecuted, by some of their own brothers and sisters. Those who didn't take the potion and suffered for righteousness sake deserve some credit for taking a stand, or it seems so to me anyway. Persecution doesn't always come from outside the Christian congregation or "Christian" community. It often comes most often from within it. I've personally witnessed, and experienced, Christians treated badly by so-called "Christians" more often than by outsiders.

"For what merit is there in it if, when you are sinning and being slapped, you endure it? But, if, when you are doing good and you suffer, this is a thing agreeable with God." 1 Peter 2:20.

Classifying everyone of the brothers as lacking humility is like the Pharisees contemptuously declaring the people 'Am ha-' a'rets. I understand from your post history that you've been treated horribly within the organization, but blanket judgments like this are what Satan wants, not Jehovah.
without getting into my past history because i have moved on, my brother and i were victims of a pedophile in the congregation. Other young people were also because the elder body would not do anything. My parents were put thru literal hell on earth. My parents remained faithful all these years even though our family was torn apart. My folks are a shining example of serving Jehovah and not an organization. Posting on this forum its hard to know someone. Im actually a very nice guy and ive been blessed with a wife i hold dearly. Without my dear wife i dont know where i would be. I think Jehovah knew i needed help so i stumbled upon Brother Kings website!

Wives are the best!

EX-JW sites are pretty much filled with vitriol. This site is not immune from it either IMHO. So many are skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd. We need to rejoice that we've been awakened and know the truth about what the future holds vs dwelling on our past bad treatment. We need to move on and be a source of encouragement to lost sheep. The future is bright and we're nearly there!
Among the trial that the Apostle Paul endured were "dangers among false brothers".

"Are they ministers of Christ? I reply like a madman, I am more outstandingly one: in labors more plentifully, in prisons more plentifully, in blows to an excess, in near-deaths often. By Jews I five times received forty strokes less one, three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned,+ three times I experienced shipwreck, a night and a day I have spent in the deep; in journeys often, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from highwaymen, in dangers from [my own] race, in dangers from the nations, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers among false brothers...
2 Corinthians 11: 23-25

Jesus said that "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35

But he also said, "and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off." Matthew 24:12

Haven't we seen this prophecy fulfilled? Hasn't the love of the greater number cooled off? Are we not seeing and experiencing the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy?

@Neoluna and @SusanB I'm gonna chime in here, because I agree with both positions, which may seem strange. First of all, I agree, there doesn't seem to be any humble people among the R&F. I have had exactly the same thoughts. But all of us here, are a testament to the fact that is not true in the absolute sense. But I am inclined to feel exactly the same way, "there is no humility among the R&F." But if I really think about that statement I know it is not true. But the problem is, there is no humility from WT, therefore because the leadership has no humility, then that likewise breeds a lack of humility, but I would say primarily among the Elders. But once again, we can not make a statement like that because again, it is not true in the absolute sense. So what we have is something of a paradox.

If you really think about why the R&F have such devotion to the GB, it is because they have misplaced loyalties, believing that it is what Jehovah wants. I think what reveals whether a person is humble or not, is whether they can change when presented with true facts, something the GB has done everything they can to obscure, and it is the real reason they don't want any of the R&F to be exposed to "apostate driven lies". So for now Jehovah allows most of them to remain in the dark. The question arises however, do they remain in the dark because they want to remain in the dark? And it does take tremendous humility to admit you have been wrong, and as of now, that is very few and far between. There are far more Ex-JW's who throw out the baby with the bath water when they find out they have been lied to, and my worry is that may be the trend with most JW's. I hope not, but I can't help but think that may hold true when WT is exposed. My hope is that they will recognize "Christ's brothers" and realize the truth then...

We also must keep in mind, we are dealing with the "father of the lie", and he is very good at lying! Something most of us can never understand, at least I hope not... ;)

Perfectly stated.

We are so sorry for all you have gone through and can relate. Unless you have gone through it people won't understand and even then everyones experience is different. When it is not dealt within the congregation properly it is especially hard on us and unfortunately in this system there will still be scars no matter how much we move forward. Having the Pedos still in the congregation is beyond difficult! Sending you lots of love to you and your family and continued healing!

well.. if i dared to broach any polite questions about the GB or the way the org acted and handled stuff i was immediately declared a conspiracy looney.. or even apostate. out of all the people inside the cong that ive had contact with since covid started there is 2 people who has not deemed me apostate or insane when i tried to point out and warn them what was happening.. but they also understood the so called vaccine was not safe.. but out of the others one even told me i had turned my back on Jah when i showed them the bible verse in isaiah 42:19 and i only asked them what they think it meant?😅 another one wanted to give me a free bible study to learn to trust in the GB...i might be wrong and i somehow only saw the worst sides of the people at the worst time, but apart from 2 people , most , including most of my family has only tried to beat down anyone who disagreed with what the GB touted at any time. spewing out derogitary terms and never ever cheking the bible only the orgs litterature to show me what a utter fool i was. so i am very sorry but humility is not the word id use to describe what i have seen among the rank and file ive talked to. there are some singular persons yes, but as a whole no. i rather got the feeling some would like to beat me to submission with a 2"8 seemingly because they are so incredibly sure they cannot ever be wrong, and if they do they never have to aknowledge it... at least according to the gospel of the GB..
the power of example is strong and when your idols act like that its no surprise that most r&f emulates them.. actually its a good measuring stick for who is really christs followers and not men.

“You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion,….” —Exodus 20:5

“Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is TO HIM ALONE you must render sacred service.” —Matthew 4:10

“In answer he said: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind,’ and, ‘your neighbor as yourself.’”

What part of this do the R&F not get? There’s no organization or any other to come in place of or another mediator, besides Jesus, to Jehovah. It’s an insult to our worship of Jehovah. The GB, in reality should be “fellow workers” for our faith.

There were quite a few of us who didn't take the potion, spoke up about it, tried to warn others and were shut down, demonized shunned, or threatened with being shunned if we spoke out, and persecuted. There may be only a few, or even one or two per congregation, more or less. There were 3 in mine that I know of who didn't take any, and one that I know of who took one or two then no more because she didn't feel they were effective. That's why it seems apparent that Jesus' prophecy that the love of the greater number has cooled of due to the increasing of lawlessness within the organization. The "greater number" would be most of them.

Vitriol, definition: violent hate and anger expressed through severe criticism.

After listening to the video if you take out the reference to the GB, then I’d have to agree with it. Anything that cancels out God’s word is a lie and recognizing that is the way to protect yourself from lies. They really condemn themselves with their own words and they twist the principles found in God’s word to exert power and influence over of the brothers and sisters, not to mention the money squeezed out of them. However, Jesus recognized that the Jewish people in his day were like sheep skinned and thrown about. Think about that. If you have any knowledge of animals and how they react to abuse, it is often a violent reaction and it makes it more difficult to help the animal. I think we should not accuse the brothers and sisters who may actually be misled and skinned and thrown about. I don’t think lumping all of Jehovah’s people into a category using a derogatory term is helpful. The goal is for them to see their error and repent and be restored to worshipping in spirit and truth. But it is Jehovah who will actually bring them to their senses even if it is through terror.
That's so true Susan, I was led to believe by other brothers and sisters, elders, CO's and the leaders themselves (through the literature) that putting up with all the abuse we have to take inside, from others, is all part and parcel of Jehovah's training us.. by I know this one thing now, and that is, I really couldn't take it anymore after the GB's convid and injection rubbish.. perhaps Jehovah does want me to go back to in person meetings and take all the convid abuse on top of everything else.. I don't know if he does or if he doesn't. But I DO feel like he wanted me to find this forum so that I could learn what I'm learning now. There's nothing worse than being confused, and every day I'm less and less confused now ❤️

I personally haven't come across any nastiness in this group yet, only like minded people. It's lovely to just know and be reassured that I'm NOT being disobedient to Jehovah and that I can continue living with the hope of Jah's New world ❤️
